Q-Max measures how quickly a fabric draws heat away from skin on contact — the higher the value, the more instant the cooling sensation. Regular cotton sits around 0.1–0.2. At Q-Max > 0.4, our fabric delivers a cool-to-the-touch feel similar to touching a metal surface. It's an industry-standard, measurable spec — not a marketing claim.
This is the most common misconception about cooling fabrics. The cooling effect works by accelerating heat transfer away from your pet's body — not by storing coldness. Your pet will feel noticeably cooler than on a regular bed. That said, in extremely hot environments (38°C+ with no airflow), performance will reduce. For best results, use in a ventilated room or with basic air circulation.
PP cotton uses a hollow-fiber structure that's more breathable than foam or memory foam. Combined with the cooling top layer and breathable base, this mat dissipates heat better than most traditional pet beds. As with any filled mat, avoid placing it in completely enclosed, unventilated spaces for extended periods.
The cooling performance comes from the fiber structure of the fabric — not a surface coating — so it won't wash out. We recommend cold or warm water (≤30°C) with a gentle detergent, and low-heat or air drying. Normal pilling after multiple washes is expected fabric aging and does not affect cooling function.
The quilted construction adds structural integrity and handles normal daily use and light scratching well. However, this mat is not designed for heavy chewers. If your pet has destructive chewing habits, we recommend pairing it with behavioral training. For aggressive chewers, a chew-resistant material product would be a better fit.
Size by your pet's stretched body length, not weight. A 10kg medium dog (like a Corgi or French Bulldog) typically fits M (55×45cm). If your dog likes to fully stretch out or is on the longer side, go with L (76×58cm). When in doubt, size up — a mat that's too small means your pet will keep repositioning and won't rest well.
